What America REALLY needs

We need to do two things in this country. We need to turn back to God and we need to reestablish a strictly Constitutional government. Americans would be much better off with God and without the burdensome meddling of a bloated bureaucracy.

History plainly shows, for those willing to study it, that when we started taking God out of daily life in this country havoc and chaos began to rule. People lost respect for one another. Children lost respect for their parents and authority. Crude and socially unacceptable behavior previously almost unknown became the new norm, paraded for all to see and suffer. Crime increased exponentially. All manner of ills that had plagued civilizations throughout the ages manifested and spread quickly. The America generations have known and loved was and is headed straight downhill to extinction. But there is yet hope. God plainly tells us in 2 Chronicles 7:14 "If my people, which are called by my name, will humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from Heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land." This is God's promise and He never lies.

The other important thing we need to do is return to the days of limited government where true patriots could get into office and would serve their countrymen, not their own greed. Our federal government has become so bloated it can not function properly or effectively, regardless of which party is in power. Those in power are only interested in remaining in power and enriching themselves. State's rights have been seized by the federal government until state governments are essentially puppets. The states have to get permission from the feds for almost everything they do. If a state has the audacity to resist they are threatened financially. Our federal government has shown itself to be too big, too meddlesome and too focused on sustaining itself to properly serve the people. Abraham Lincoln spoke of government "by the people, of the people and for the people". It sounds good but I submit to you that it does not exist today.
